Zoom and Focus Control
Legacy Article: This article covers the legacy FMBooth (Windows + iPadOS) software. FMBooth (Windows + iPadOS) has been replaced by FMX. See FMX documentation →
Overview
The FMBooth for iPadOS app includes zoom and focus control features. These capabilities are accessible through the Global Settings tab under the Camera section's Advanced options. Note: these features are available for the rear camera and not the front camera.
Focus Control
The Focus tab offers two options:
- Auto Focus — The default setting for automatic focus adjustment
- Manual Focus — Enables a slider bar for precise manual focus adjustment
An alternative method involves tapping directly on the screen at your desired focal point, allowing the camera to focus on that specific location.
Zoom Control
Similar to focus controls, the Zoom tab displays an adjustment bar with sliders for zooming in and out. The magnifying glass icons at each end of the bar allow fine-tuning of your preferred zoom level.
A Reset button is available to restore default zoom settings if needed.
