Using the Photo Layout

Legacy Article: This article covers the legacy FMBooth (Windows + iPadOS) software. FMBooth (Windows + iPadOS) has been replaced by FMX. See FMX documentation →

What is the Photo Layout?

The photo layout screen displays various photo layout designs that you can create, duplicate, or edit. Tap any layout name to access customization options where you can add and modify visual elements.

Visual Elements

Workflow Photo

This captures the image when your workflow reaches the photo capture stage. You can adjust its position, dimensions, and fill mode. Additional settings include regular filters, hair filters, and background filters accessible via the Settings icon.

External Image

Add background or foreground images by tapping Settings and selecting from pre-designed options or uploading custom files. Supported formats include PNG, JPG, JPEG. You can also adjust the image's opacity.

Text

Insert text that appears on your final photo. Through Settings, customize the content, font selection, color, and other properties.

Signature

When your workflow includes a signature feature, this element lets you position and size the signature on your final photo output.

QR Code

Add a scannable QR code to your layout. Use Settings to configure the destination URL or action triggered when users scan it.

Order of Elements

The system uses a layer-based ordering where top-listed elements appear behind others, while bottom-listed elements appear in front. Reorder elements by clicking the arrows icon (bottom left), then dragging elements using the hamburger menu icon to your preferred position.

Remember to click Save to preserve all changes.
