How to Use Phidgets

A Phidget is a compact input/output controller that can be integrated into workflows to activate various devices. To implement this feature, follow these steps:

Setup Requirements

1. Download and Install: Obtain Phidget control panel 21 and launch the application.

2. Access Web Service Tab: Open the phidget controller and navigate to the Web Service tab.

3. Verify Configuration: Confirm that the server ID and port settings in the Phidget control panel match those configured in the software's Workflow tab, specifically under the Phidgets feature settings.

4. Start the Service: Click the "Start" button in the Phidget control panel to activate the connection.

Integration with Workflow

To add Phidgets functionality to your workflow:

• Select "add state" and choose "feature" as the type
• Designate "Phidgets 1014" as your source
• In the "Next State Trigger" column, select which switch(es) to activate (up to all four are available)
• To deactivate a switch, create an additional state with the same source but deselect the corresponding switch

Important Note

Make sure that your phidget has a power source as it is necessary for it to work.
