How To Create Your Own Workflow

Legacy Article: This article covers the legacy FMBooth (Windows + iPadOS) software. FMBooth (Windows + iPadOS) has been replaced by FMX. See FMX documentation →

Navigating the Screens

Before creating a workflow, you need to access the workflow tab. Press the back button in the top left corner to view all available screens, then select the workflow tab. FMBooth includes several premade workflows that you can edit to suit your needs, or you can build a custom workflow from scratch.

To duplicate an existing workflow, swipe left and click the "Copy" icon. To remove a workflow, swipe right and select the delete icon.

Several key buttons appear when editing a workflow:

  • Bidirectional Arrow: Moves states around to change animation placement
  • +Add State: Adds new states (features, animations, or animation lists)
  • Save: Preserves all workflow changes
  • Play: Runs the currently loaded workflow

Workflow Options

Workflows consist of three types of elements called States:

Features allow interaction with the software to execute specific actions:

  • Capture Photo
  • Draw on Final Photo
  • Email
  • LED Start/Stop
  • Print Copies

Animations provide visual effects organized by category (Countdown, Compliment, Touch to Start, etc.).

Animation Lists enable multiple animations in a single state, with different animations appearing randomly during each session.

  1. Tap +Add Workflow at the bottom left corner
  2. Click the pencil icon to edit the workflow name
