FMX for Windows: Sharing & Printing Overview
FMX for Windows supports several ways to share photos with guests and print on-site. This article gives an overview of all available options and links to the relevant guides.
Online Sharing
After each session, FMX can send photos directly to guests while they're still at the booth, and sync them to an online gallery they can access later.
Send a photo directly to a guest's email address at the end of a session. Configure the email template and sender in Foto Master Cloud.

SMS

Instant Sharing
FMX can display a QR code or link immediately after a session, before the photo finishes uploading to Cloud.
Online Gallery
All synced photos are available in a guest-facing online gallery hosted on Foto Master Cloud. Guests can access it via a link or QR code from their email or SMS.
Social Media
Guests can share directly to social platforms from the online gallery.
Printing
FMX can print photos automatically during a session or on demand from the queue.
Printer Setup
Connect and configure your printer in FMX before the event. Covers driver installation, default printer selection, paper size, and print quality settings.

FMPrint (Separate Printing Computer)
If your setup uses a dedicated printing laptop instead of printing directly from the booth PC, FMPrint is the recommended solution. It runs on a separate Windows computer on the same Wi-Fi network and receives print jobs from FMX wirelessly.

Sharing Tab
The Sharing Tab in Global Settings controls how photos are shared and where they are saved after each session.
FAQ
Can I enable both email and SMS sharing for the same event?
Yes. Email and SMS are independent sharing steps — you can include both in the same workflow. Configure each separately in your Cloud event preset. Guests will see both options (or only the ones you enable) on the sharing screen after their session.
What sharing options work if there is no internet at the venue?
Direct printing works fully offline. Email, SMS, online gallery, and QR code sharing all require internet connectivity to function. If the venue has no reliable Wi-Fi, use a mobile hotspot as your primary connection. FMX will queue failed share attempts and retry automatically when connectivity is restored.
Does the guest need the Foto Master app to access their photo?
No. Photos are shared as a direct link — via email, SMS, or QR code — that opens in any standard web browser. Guests do not need to install any app or create an account to view or download their photos.
Can I customize the email or SMS message that guests receive?
Yes. Go to Cloud → Your Event → Sharing & Communications to customize the email subject line, body text, sender name, and SMS message template. You can add your logo, brand colors, and a custom call-to-action. Changes take effect on the next sync.
