Setting Up Live View with a Transparent Countdown Animation
Live View lets guests see themselves on the mirror display before a photo is taken. To work correctly, it needs to be paired with a transparent countdown animation — otherwise, the countdown will block the mirror view entirely.
Step 1: Add Two Live View Steps
- In your workflow, add a Live View step before your countdown animation.
- Add a second Live View step after the countdown animation.
- Click the Gear icon ⚙️ on each Live View:
- Set the first one to Start.
- Set the second one to Stop.
Step 2: Replace the Countdown Animation
The default countdown animation has a solid background that blocks the Live View. You'll need to swap it out for a transparent version.
- Find your Countdown animation step and click its gear icon.
- Press change to change the animation.
- Locate the transparent countdown animation in FMLink → Countdown folder → Countdown Transparent.
- Replace your existing countdown animation with this file.
Step 3: Save and Sync
- Save your workflow.
- Sync it to apply the changes to your booth.
Your Live View will now start and stop at the right moments, and the transparent countdown will keep the mirror view visible right up until the photo is taken.
