Offline Gallery
The Offline Gallery is a full-screen, kiosk-style media viewer built into FMX. It lets guests and operators browse all photos captured during an event, share them via email, SMS, or QR code, and print copies on demand -- all without returning to the main booth workflow.
Accessing the Offline Gallery
There are two ways to open the Offline Gallery:
- Touch gesture -- Press and hold the top-left corner of the screen for approximately 3 seconds while in Experience View
- Keyboard shortcut -- Press Ctrl+G while in Experience View
The gallery opens in full-screen mode, overlaying the current booth experience.
Tip: The touch-and-hold gesture is designed so guests cannot accidentally trigger it during normal booth interaction. Only someone who knows the gesture (the operator) can open it intentionally.
Supported Media Types
The Offline Gallery displays all media files stored in the event's local folder:
- JPG -- Standard photo format
- PNG -- Photos with transparency support
- MP4 -- Video recordings and boomerang clips
- GIF -- Animated GIF exports
Features
Browse Session Photos
Scroll through all captured session photos for the current event. Photos are displayed in a grid layout and can be viewed individually in full-screen detail.
Share via Email, SMS, or QR Code
From the detail view of any photo, guests can share using the same three channels available during a live session:
- Email -- Enter an email address to receive a link to the photo
- SMS -- Enter a phone number to receive a link via text message
- QR Code -- Display a scannable QR code linking to the photo
Sharing from the gallery uses the same placeholder URL system as live sessions, so links are delivered instantly.
Print Photos
Select any photo in the gallery and send it to the connected printer. The gallery uses the same printer settings configured in Global Settings > Printer, including paper size, orientation, and printer selection.
Prints from the gallery are attributed to the original session for accurate print counting in the dashboard statistics.
Use Cases
- Guest review stations -- Set up a second display running the Offline Gallery so guests can browse and share while the main booth continues operating
- Reprint requests -- When a guest returns to the booth asking for another copy of their photo, open the gallery and print directly
- End-of-event slideshows -- Use the gallery to display all event photos on a screen during the closing portion of an event
- Operator quality checks -- Browse through session photos to verify image quality, framing, and print output between guests
Configuration
Offline Gallery settings are located in Global Settings > Sharing Settings > Offline Gallery. From there you can configure:
- Whether the gallery is enabled or disabled
- Which sharing methods are available in the gallery (email, SMS, QR)
- Gallery layout and display preferences
