Pylon iPad Booth: Troubleshooting

Updated Yesterday · 1 min readBeginner

iPad Running Out of Battery During Event

Ensure the charger cable is connected and the outlet/power bank is functioning. The pylon's cable channel may have a bend that stresses the connector — check that the cable is not pinched. Use Apple's original or MFi-certified charger for reliable charging during use.

FMX App Crashes or Freezes

Force-close FMX (swipe up from home on Face ID iPads, or double-click home and swipe), then reopen. If crashes are frequent, check available iPad storage (Settings → General → iPad Storage) — FMX requires at least 2GB free. Clear the FMX cache if available in app settings.

Wi-Fi Connection Drops During Event

Photos captured offline will sync when the connection is restored. For persistent issues, use a dedicated mobile hotspot rather than the venue Wi-Fi. Position the hotspot within 3m of the booth.

Guest Accessed iPad Home Screen

Enable Guided Access before the event to prevent this. If it happened during the event, return to FMX and re-enable Guided Access (triple-click the side button).
