FMX Login & License Issues

Updated Yesterday · 2 min readBeginner

This article covers the most common problems when signing in to FMX for Windows or activating a license.

"Invalid Email or Password"

Re-enter your credentials carefully — check that Caps Lock is off. Your FMX login uses the same email and password as your Foto Master Cloud account.

If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot password on the FMX login screen. A reset link will be sent to your registered email. Complete the reset at cloud.fotomaster.com, then return to FMX and sign in.

Forgot Password Email Did Not Arrive

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Confirm you entered the exact email address registered to your Cloud account
  • Wait a few minutes and request the reset email again
  • If the email address is no longer accessible, contact Foto Master support to update your account

"No Available Licenses" or All Licenses In Use

Each FMX for Windows license can only be active on one PC at a time. If all your licenses are already in use:

  1. On the license selection screen in FMX, deactivate one of the other machines from the list (if that option appears)
  2. Or go to cloud.fotomaster.comAccount → Licenses and deactivate the PC you want to free up
  3. Return to FMX and click Refresh — the freed license will now be available

To avoid this before an event, always check your active license count in the Cloud portal ahead of time. See License Management Across Devices for details.

FMX Gets Stuck on the Loading Screen After Sign In

  • Close FMX completely and relaunch it
  • Confirm the booth PC has an active internet connection
  • Check that Windows Firewall or your antivirus is not blocking FMX — add FMX as an exception if needed
  • If the issue persists, restart the PC and try signing in again

Wrong Account Is Signed In

If the wrong email appears in the About Tab, click Sign out / Switch account in the About Tab, then sign in with the correct Foto Master Cloud credentials.

License Activated but FMX Shows an Error

Verify your subscription is active at cloud.fotomaster.com → Account → Licenses. If the license shows as expired or inactive, renew the subscription and relaunch FMX.

Still stuck? Enable FMX logs and send them to support: How to Enable Logs and Report Issues.
