Instagram Integration in Photo Mosaic Wall

Overview

The Photo Mosaic Wall software enables users to integrate Instagram accounts for photo collection. The system allows authorized Instagram accounts to supply images that match specific hashtags for your event's mosaic wall final photo.

Business Account Requirement

As of May 5, 2020, Instagram implemented API changes that mandate specific account types:

• Users must convert their Instagram profiles to business accounts (not personal)
• You will need to have a Facebook page assigned to it
• Required to maintain compatibility with the software's V4 version and beyond

Converting to a Business Account

1. Access your Instagram profile settings
2. Navigate to Account settings
3. Select the option to switch to a Professional Account
4. Choose Business account type and proceed
5. Connect your Instagram profile to an existing Facebook business page or create a new one

Hashtag Monitoring Functionality

The software enables hashtag monitoring by:

• Authorizing an Instagram business account within the system
• Automatically drawing photos from specified Instagram hashtags at intervals you configure
• Matching photos to your activation through relevant hashtags (for example, photos tagged #activation1 appear on activation1's mosaic wall)
• Supporting multiple activations with a single authorized account by using distinct hashtags

Setup Process

Within the software's Instagram settings:

1. Enable Hashtag Monitoring
2. Authorize your business account using your registered email address and software license key
