Legacy Article: This article covers the legacy Photo Mosaic Wall software. The next generation — PMWall — is coming soon.
Note: This article covers the legacy Photo Mosaic Wall software. For the new PMWall, see PMWall Getting Started.
Overview
This guide explains multiple methods for importing photos into your Photo Mosaic Wall activation system.
Manual Import Method
- Prepare your photo repository -- Gather image files on your computer, flash drive, or SD card
- Locate the correct folder -- Navigate to:
C:\PhotoMosaicWall\events\[event's name]\raw - Copy image files -- Transfer your prepared photos into the
rawfolder
Key Details
The Photo Mosaic Wall system stores events in a structured directory format. The raw folder serves as the designated location for photo files before processing.
Important: Ensure you're using the correct event name in your file path to avoid importing images to the wrong activation.
Other Import Methods
The legacy software supported multiple import sources:
- Photo Mosaic Agent (PC Agent) -- Transfer from another computer to the raw folder
- Upload Button -- Guests upload from website in real time
- MMS -- Guests text photos (USA/Canada only, via Twilio)
- Instagram -- Pull photos from authorized business account via hashtag
- WiFi -- Camera Wi-Fi transfer (Canon EOS Utility example: redirect saves to raw folder)
Additional Considerations
- Verify image file formats are compatible with the system
- Check that file names don't contain special characters that might cause import issues
- Consider backing up your original photos before transferring them
