Installing FMX on iPad
Requirements Before You Start
- iPad running iPadOS 16 or later (iPadOS 17+ recommended)
- Apple ID with access to the App Store
- Active Foto Master Cloud account with an iPad license
- At least 2GB of free storage on the iPad
- Strong Wi-Fi connection during the first sync
Step 1 — Download from the App Store
- On the iPad, open the App Store.
- Search for "FMX by Foto Master" or "Foto Master FMX".
- Tap Get and authenticate with your Apple ID if prompted.
- Wait for the download to complete. FMX will appear on your home screen.
Step 2 — First Launch
- Open FMX from the home screen.
- On the sign-in screen, enter your Foto Master Cloud email and password.
- Tap Sign In. FMX validates your account and activates your license automatically.
- If you see "License not found," verify your iPad license is active at cloud.fotomaster.com → Account → Licenses.
Step 3 — Initial Setup
- Grant FMX permission to access the camera when prompted — this is required for the photo capture workflow.
- Grant FMX access to the microphone if your workflow uses voice-triggered capture.
- Grant notifications if you want event alerts.
Tip: After installing, from time to time update to the latest FMX version. Go to App Store → Search FMX → Update if available. Always update before events, not during.
Step 4 — Verify with a Test Event
Before your first event, load any event from your Cloud account (even a test event) and run a full test session to confirm the camera, sharing, and any connected printer are working. See FMX for iPad: Getting Started for the full onboarding flow.
