FMX for iPad: Cloud Sync Settings

Updated Today · 1 min readBeginner

What the Cloud Tab Controls

The Media Type to Sync to Cloud Tab in FMX for iPad Global Settings determines which media types are uploaded to Foto Master Cloud after each session, and how sync behaves during an event.

Sync Toggles

  • Final Photo — uploads the processed, layout-applied final photo. Enable this for all events using photo sharing or gallery delivery.
  • RAW Photo — uploads the original camera capture before processing. Enable only if your workflow requires access to unprocessed images.
  • Final Video — uploads processed video output. Enable for video or boomerang workflows.
  • Final GIF — uploads animated GIF output. Enable for GIF-sharing workflows.

Enable only the media types your event actually uses. Uploading unused media types wastes bandwidth and slows sync during high-volume events.

QR Code Behavior

When enabled, FMX creates a placeholder Cloud entry at the start of each session — before any photos are taken. This allows QR codes to be generated immediately and shown to the guest, even before capture. The QR code auto-resolves to the final photo once the upload completes.

Offline Mode

If Wi-Fi is unavailable, FMX for iPad continues capturing locally. Media uploads automatically when the connection is restored. Guests who received QR codes while offline will see their photo once sync completes.
