Revenue Tracking
Every transaction from your pay-per-use Foto Master booths is captured and reported in the Foto Master Cloud dashboard. This gives you real-time visibility into how your booths are performing, which locations are most profitable, and where you might need to adjust pricing or placement.
This article covers how to access and use the revenue tracking tools in Foto Master Cloud.
Real-Time Revenue Monitoring
The Foto Master Cloud dashboard displays live revenue data as transactions come in. To access revenue tracking:
- Log in to cloud.fotomaster.com.
- Navigate to Analytics from the left-hand menu.
- Select the Revenue tab.
The revenue overview shows:
- Today's revenue -- A running total of all transactions for the current day
- This week / this month -- Cumulative totals for the current period
- Active booths -- The number of pay-per-use booths currently online and processing transactions
Data refreshes automatically, so you can keep the dashboard open to monitor booth performance throughout the day.
Revenue by Location
If you operate booths at multiple locations, the location breakdown helps you compare performance across sites:
- Revenue per location -- See how much each booth location has earned over a selected time period
- Sessions per location -- Compare transaction volume between locations
- Average revenue per session -- Identify which locations command the highest per-session prices
Use this data to make decisions about where to expand, where to adjust pricing, and which locations may need attention.
Tip: Sort locations by revenue per session rather than total revenue to find your most valuable placements. A location with fewer sessions but higher average revenue may be more profitable once you factor in costs.
Revenue by Time Period
The time-based view lets you analyse trends over different date ranges:
- Daily view -- See revenue day by day, useful for spotting weekday vs. weekend patterns
- Weekly view -- Identify your strongest weeks and any seasonal trends
- Monthly view -- Track long-term growth and month-over-month performance
- Custom range -- Select any date range for targeted analysis
Use the date picker at the top of the Revenue tab to switch between views or set a custom range.
Revenue by Experience Type
If you offer multiple experiences at different price points (for example, a standard photo session and a premium AI experience), the experience breakdown shows:
- Revenue per experience -- How much each experience type is generating
- Session count per experience -- How often each experience is chosen by guests
- Popularity ranking -- Which experiences are most popular at each location
This data helps you understand which experiences resonate with your audience and whether your premium pricing is working. If guests consistently choose the basic option and skip the premium experience, you may need to adjust the price gap or improve how the premium option is presented on the idle screen.
Transaction History
The transaction history provides a detailed log of every individual transaction across all your booths:
- Timestamp -- When the transaction occurred
- Location -- Which booth processed the transaction
- Amount -- The amount charged
- Payment method -- Credit card, mobile payment, coin, or venue card
- Experience type -- Which photo experience did the guest select
- Session status -- Whether the session completed successfully
You can search, filter, and sort the transaction list by any of these fields. This is useful for investigating specific transactions, reconciling with payment processor statements, or resolving guest inquiries.
To access the transaction history:
- Go to Analytics > Revenue.
- Click the Transaction History tab.
- Use the filters to narrow by date range, location, payment method, or status.
Exporting Revenue Reports
Foto Master Cloud lets you export your revenue data for use in spreadsheets, accounting software, or presentations:
- Navigate to Analytics > Revenue.
- Set your desired date range and filters.
- Click the Export button.
- Choose your format (CSV or PDF).
- The report will download to your device.
Exported reports include all the data visible in the dashboard -- totals, location breakdowns, experience breakdowns, and transaction details -- formatted for easy import into tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or QuickBooks.
Tip: Set a recurring reminder to export monthly revenue reports. Consistent record-keeping makes tax time easier and helps you track growth over time.
Reconciling with Your Payment Processor
Your payment processor (Nayax, Intercard, Embed, or your credit card processor) maintains its own transaction records. It is good practice to periodically reconcile your Foto Master Cloud revenue data with your payment processor's reports to ensure everything lines up.
Steps for Reconciliation
- Export your Foto Master revenue report for the reconciliation period.
- Pull the corresponding report from your payment processor -- For Nayax, log into your Nayax management dashboard and export the transaction report for the same period. For Intercard or Embed, request the report from the venue administrator.
- Compare totals -- Match the total revenue in Foto Master Cloud against the total deposits from your payment processor.
- Investigate discrepancies -- If the numbers do not match, check for:
- Chargebacks or refunds that appear in the processor report but not in Foto Master
- Processing fees are deducted by the payment processor before the deposit
- Pending transactions that have not yet settled
- Failed sessions where a payment was captured, but the booth session did not complete
If you find transactions in your payment processor that do not appear in Foto Master Cloud, or vice versa, contact Foto Master support with the transaction details for assistance.
