Draw Me Bot: Dance in Sync

Updated 4 days ago · 1 min read

In the world of interactive technology, keeping people engaged is just as important as delivering the main experience. A new feature called “Idle Dance Mode” is bringing extra life and personality to robotic drawing systems like DMBot V2 above.

Instead of remaining motionless when no customers are using the machine, the robotic arms now perform smooth animated movements and pre-programmed dance routines. These rhythmic motions immediately attract attention, making the booth look active and exciting even during quiet moments.

To use this feature, you must first have bots successfully connected and established through the MAC connection.

To enable the Dance in Sync feature, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the DrawMeApp software
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Enable Dance in Sync
  4. Set your preferred Idle Timeout duration
  5. Click Save located at the top-right corner of the screen

Once enabled, the bot will automatically start dancing after the configured idle time, provided that there are no pending drawings available in the Drawing tab.

How Dance in Sync Works

If you have two or more bots connected through the MAC connection and the feature is enabled, all connected bots will perform synchronized dancing during idle periods.

Situational Behavior

For example:

  • If two bots are connected and only one bot is currently dancing while the other is still processing a drawing,
  • The bot that is still drawing will continue its task normally,
  • Once the drawing is completed and the configured idle timeout is reached, that bot will automatically synchronize and follow the dance movement of the other bot.

The same behavior applies to setups with multiple connected bots, allowing all idle bots to dance in sync together.
