Mirror Me Booth: Setup Checklist

Updated Yesterday · 2 min readBeginner

Before You Start

Complete this checklist before every deployment. Allow 45–60 minutes for a first-time setup, 20–30 minutes once you're familiar with the booth.

Required before setup: A Foto Master Cloud account, an active license, an event created in Cloud, and FMX for Windows installed on the booth's PC.

Space Preparation

  1. Choose a flat, stable surface. Avoid soft carpet that could allow the booth to tilt.
  2. Confirm at least 2m × 2m of floor space with 2.4m ceiling clearance.
  3. Identify the nearest power outlet. Route cables away from the guest-facing area.
  4. If printing, place the printer to the side or rear of the booth within cable reach.
  5. Position the booth so guests face away from windows or strong backlight.

Hardware Assembly

  1. Remove the mirror from its transport case. Keep packaging for return transport.
  2. Extend and lock the support legs or base into position. Confirm the booth stands level.
  3. Attach the LED Ring to the designated mount point on the mirror frame.
  4. Connect the LED Ring cable to the USB or power port on the internal PC.
  5. Connect the printer via USB to the internal PC. Power on the printer first.
  6. Plug the main power cable into the booth and then into the wall outlet.

Power-On Sequence

  1. Power on the printer.
  2. Power on the booth using the main power button (typically located on the rear or side panel).
  3. Wait for Windows to fully load before opening FMX.
  4. Confirm the touchscreen responds to input before proceeding.

Pre-Software Checks

  • Touch screen responds accurately at the edges and center
  • Camera live view shows a clear image in Device Manager or FMX
  • Printer appears as a device in Windows and has paper loaded
  • Wi-Fi or ethernet connection confirmed (check system tray)
  • FMX license is active (visible in FMX dashboard under account info)

Once all hardware checks pass, continue to Software Setup.
